I have raced cars competitively for 16 years, starting in Ministocks then moving into Stockcars and Superstocks. I achieved a high level of success for the 2009/2010 season move to F2 Midgets mainly racing at Western Springs. Finishing in the top 3 for the season was a big change from Stockcars to Open Wheel racing. I believe I progressed and learned well through the season with minimal support.
For the 2010/2011 season I joined HLR Racing who helped with the car costs and provided ongoing support. Having achieved our goal of becoming the Western Springs Championship Series winner in the F2 Midget Class, demonstrates my competitive and skillful commitment to win.
The following season 2011/2012 I had a few drives in a TQ and Midget, and I won the NZCTRA Championship in the borrowed Midget. I knew the next challenge was waiting right around the corner, and I was anticipating the results.
The 2012/2013 saw me reach my next goal of owning a Midget car and running under my team RH Racing. There were highs and lows throughout this time trying to get the car setup and doing it on a limited budget. I saw some good times and showed I could be competitive once I got the car set up sorted.
The 2013/2014 season I went in with a lot of knowledge about my car and open wheel racing but still competed on a small budget with top International drivers at Western Springs Speedway in the POWRi World Midget Championship. A highlight of the season was winning the title, Windy City Showdown at Wellington Speedway. I showed potential throughout the year to race in the Australasian scene for the following season.
